Customs and tradiotions
San Vicente is a community with plenty of customs and traditions, coming from different cultures characteristic of the Chorotegan region:
The celebration of Semana Santa (Holy Week) includes culinary specialities made of corn such as rosquillas, tanelas, tamales and the traditional drink chicheme.
The bull festivals which take place the first weekend of February and the second weekend of July are known by the happiness that is provoked by the bull riders and the different foods that are offered to visitors.
The dance of the colgantes or small traditional gifts is celebrated the first week-end of November. The main characteristic of this dance is that participants receive a small gift or colgante.
